I this video, I answer a question from one of my students in GPR BASCIS about high pass and low pass filters to enhance your ground penetrating radar data.
High pass and low pass filters are 1 dimensional or vertical filters that usually help “clean up” gpr data. By subjecting your data to a high pass and low pass filters, you can remove much noise and correct for instrument drift.
Since GPR antenna produce a wide band of frequencies, and receive waves from other sources, it helps sometimes to narrow the spectrum of frequencies you are willing to look at.
This helps illuminate your frequency of interest and hopefully enhance your interpretations.
